CLINIC

A message from the LCHS Executive Director

We are so proud to have established a small clinic in our Adoption Center with the James Montgomery Animal Wellness Center coming soon! With your support we have been able to successfully complete numerous surgeries to spay/neuter our facility animals as well as several from the community. We are so thankful! Not only does this lower the population increase year over year but the clinic also helps financially support our mission.

What we need now is your continued support – we still have funds to raise to complete construction on our new center. By purchasing a brick or the naming rights for one of the rooms within the center, you are securing the future for our community’s animals.”

Donate and specify the James Montgomery Animal Wellness Center and each dollar will be used to create an amazing location for the care and adoption of our animals. Thank you again for your continued support of ALL facility animals.

About Us

Lake City Humane Society, a private nonprofit organization, was formed in late 1964 to address animal welfare issues in our community. There was no animal shelter, and little attention was paid to the hundreds, if not thousands of animals that were picked up off the streets and killed if no one came to claim them. One city employee – the “dog catcher” was hired to catch and dispose of stray and unclaimed dogs in our area.
