Lake City Humane Society

The Lake City Humane Society offers many opportunities for volunteers to share their precious time.

Many volunteers enjoy walking the dogs, socializing with the cats, or fostering animals that need special care until they can be adopted. Volunteers are at the heart of the Humane Society.  Volunteers are also needed to participate in events like the "Parade of Paws", "Santa Pet Pics", and other fundraising events throughout the year. New volunteers are required to attend an orientation before they may volunteer at the Humane Society. Volunteer orientations are usually scheduled the 1st Saturday of the month from October through March. However, you must call in advance to confirm date and time. You can commit to as little as eight hours a month or come in and help every day- it's up to you! Every minute you donate to help a homeless pet helps to make a difference in the life of one of our furry friends. We are dependent on dedicated volunteers to help save the lives of our homeless pets. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer for The Lake City Humane Society call at 386-752-3191 or stop by and see us.

The goal of our volunteer program is to improve the health and adoptions for all Lake City Humane Society residents. Humane Society volunteers help save the lives of thousands of animals every year. Volunteers assist in the direct care of animals, as well as assist in fundraising and public education. Check out the openings listed below and find the right spot for you!
